almost my birthday!

Today I had two exams, math and anthropology. I was so nervous for both of them, but I think they went okay. I'm so glad they're over. Since I'm not taking math next year, it was my last math course for good! I still have one more exam, American history, on Monday which is also my birthday. I just ordered a cake, so it finally feels like it's actually almost my birthday.

In a few hours I'm going to my friends birthday party, so I'm pretty excited for that. Hm, what to wear...

last day of classes.

Thursday was my last day of grade eleven classes. It feels weird that the year is over, it went by really quickly. I can't believe I only have one year of school left! Thursday was also my last day at my co-op placement. It was sad to leave, I really enjoyed going every other morning. I'm so happy that I had my placement with Dagg and Stacey, I heard stories of other people who had supervisors that didn't pay attention, but Karen and Stacey were so nice and down-to-earth. They even gave me this shirt as a gift!
Funny enough it was the first thing I worked on with them too. You can buy it online, at shopdaggandstacey.com. The spring/summer collection is amazing.

My first exam was yesterday morning. It was my English exam, so it was just an essay. I think it went okay, I'm usually pretty good at writing essays, and on this one I was even allowed to compare the topic to Gossip Girl! My next exam is my French one, on Tuesday morning. I'm pretty nervous for it, so I should be studying.

I'm at my cottage until tomorrow evening. We came up after my exam yesterday. I was looking forward to tanning on the dock, but unfortunately it's been cloudy and rainy since we got up.
But I've been procrastinating all day, so now I'm off to study my French notes!

quinoa loaf

So I made the quinoa loaf last night, and it ended up tasting really good. Much better than I expected. The preparation took a while because I had to cook the quinoa and cut up all the vegetables, but it was worth it. The recipe made a lot though, so I have plenty of quinoa loaf in the freezer!

You can get the recipe here:

my evening

Today has been boiling hot, 30 degrees outside! School was really gross since there`s no air conditioning...

Right now I'm thinking of going for a bike ride, I haven't gone on one for a long time. My sister just went to the batting cages with her friend, but when she gets back she said we'll go to Shoppers Drug Mart to buy make-up, then watch Gossip Girl and eat popcorn. My mom said that we might make pizza for dinner too... Sounds like a perfect evening!

My friend and I are going shopping on Friday at Square One. I haven`t been there in a long time, but I love it. Unfortunately I have very little money in my bank account. I`ve been applying for jobs, but no one has been calling back. Oh well, I`ll find one eventually... (I hope!)

cooking

The weather today is beautiful. It is so hot out, but I'm not complaining. So much nicer than all the rain and colder days we've had lately. It was pretty sunny too, so I got to wear my new hat!

Hopefully in the next hour or so I'll be going grocery shopping, which is exciting because I'm finally going to buy the ingredients I need for the recipes in my vegetarian cookbook that my sister bought me for Christmas. I'm planning on making a lentil shepherd's pie, a quinoa loaf, and maybe a bocconcini and tomato pasta salad. Hopefully it goes well. I really don't know why I never cook, I don't mind it at all.

at the request of matthew sandrin...

I haven't written on here for a very long time because I have become so obsessed with tumblr. Anyways school isn't as bad as you might think. I finally (maybe) got a co-op placement at Dagg and Stacey. It's really exciting because their clothes are amazing, they even have knee-socks in their collection. PLUS the studio is in Liberty Village, and I think it's become my new favorite place in Toronto.

Halloween is coming up. I love Halloween so much. It sucks because it's on a sunday this year, but I'm still going trick or treating with some friends, dressed up as Alice in Wonderland of course. That saturday I'm maybe going to Fear Fest, which will scare the crap out of me. And on the friday I will be attending Skalloween, headlined by the lovely and talented HOF www.myspace.com/hoftoronto :)

I guess that's about it for now.
